Find yourself a copy of the ARCO-AIRCAM Aviation Series #21 "SHARKMOUTH 1916-1945". It's fascinating! The P-40 is what you think of when you think sharkmouth but it started with the Roland Walfisch. |

I think I built a 1/48 plastic kit of that one - from Eduard maybe - all white with a sharkmouth and all other insignia in black.. I'll check with the library on the title you mention. It's well known that the Flying Tigers plagiarized the mark from a UK squadron. Saw it, liked it, copied it..hell it looks the best on a P40...who wouldn't want it on there? |
