The Sultan of Smooth!

Folks around here set a high bar, I’m just trying to keep pace. Lol This P40 fuselage has some interesting lines - some trickiness to it. Nothing like what Don is dealing with on that ol’ Tomcat just now, but tricky nonetheless. Fairing the flying surfaces into it will be another set of tricks altogether. I want it to look like your T-28 ultimately...like it was poured out of a bottle.

I had some trouble with the canopy on this kit. I left it in one piece but it would have fit better to cut the three sections apart before installing.

I still haven’t cut it free from its ‘sheet’ yet...I was thinking about separating just the rear third and leaving the canopy and windscreen connected. Maybe even cutting the two rear panes free and gluing them over the cutouts in the fuselage individually.

That's looking gooood, Heywooood. I had fun with this kit. Got a little carried away, but it was fun.

I like it. Just like a tumbler of 20 yr old Scotch: Smooth.

Hiya Ray - sorry I missed your comment back when..I hope that's a single malt, older the better (just like us modelmakers)
