jerry campbell | 13-Feb-12 19:44 | One of these days it may start looking like a Bf 110G-2. It has been a harrowing experience building without porper plans, mainliy working from the Kagero 1/32 scale drawing which are highly detailed and beautifully done. |
jerry campbell | 13-Feb-12 19:58 | Fairly quickly I gave up using patterns from the 110E flying model plans and began relying on the Kagero drawings for patterns. This has been quite a learning process, and just might allow me to build aircraft so long as I have a good set of scale drawings. |

BriandKilby | 14-Feb-12 07:49 | what scale is it going to be jerry? 1/32? it's starting to take shape! |
jerry campbell | 14-Feb-12 10:08 | Yes, 1/32 scale. I usually like 1/24, but it is too big for twin engine a/c, besides there is a lot of drawings, decals, etc., available in 1/32 scale in the plasic industry. |
BriandKilby | 14-Feb-12 10:56 | that's a model i would really like to do. i have a 1/48 plastic. |
jerry campbell | 14-Feb-12 13:47 | Brian, there is a 1/32 Bf 110E plastic kit available from Dragon. I have used some parts for comparison especially the tail area and cockpit. I built plastic for years and have great respect for their accuracy, but I have become a "born again" balsa, stick and paper builder. |
BriandKilby | 14-Feb-12 15:14 | amen! |
