It's marked as 1/16"and is supposed to be balsa but is in fact 1/32" basswood. Some of it is a bit warped but it will make excellent patterns. julinick 11-Dec-13 19:24 I can't believe this kit is from 1944. David, if you were to stack the wood with some kind of weight on top, do you think it might make the sheets straight? I always lay my balsa flat on my work table with small weights to prevent warping. I know it's not balsa, but you could give it a shot.
