I believe that I have found my next project. Owned and restored by a chap in Waukegan(?). It is a actual survivor of Pearl Harbor. It flew search missions the afternoon of the event. |

I have this plane in Glenco Models 1/48 plastic. Thinking about building it. Looking forward to your build. |

is it a Grumman? |

Nice choice and it's a bipe! I do believe it has a great deal with a Grumman F3F-2 that I have modeled a few years past. This is going to be sweet! |

That will be an interesting build. Anticipating it. |

Yes, it's a Grumman product. It was an evolution of the Leoning amphibian of the early 30's. I think that it will be in 1/12 scale: (1) easier on my eyes, (2) Williams bros scale parts available for engine & wheels, (3) It's not big of a airplane. |

I may be wrong, but I believe it is a Grumman J2F Duck. |
