mlriley540 | 07-May-17 13:51 | I fixed the little bit of damage caused by flying, it's back to 100% I will let it sit and look nice for at least a while. |
LASTWOODSMAN | 07-May-17 16:07 | MLRILEY - How do you do this? how do you attach your removable landing gear? - wooden dowel into a snug hole? Do you break in your rubber and lube it first? What size rubber and how many strands? Do you stretch it out and then wind it into the nose? How many turns on the rubber and how long is the power run? Did you install trimming and turning tabs on the plane? - where and what size? |
mlriley540 | 07-May-17 18:36 | The details of rubber and lube are a lot to get into here, I know just the basics. You can buy lube online and install the motor and it will allow 500 turns many times in a few days without breaking or needing more lube. After a few days you will need to pull the motor out. Even with careful lube, if you put a lot of turns (700-1200) the motor will break after zero or a couple flights. Power depends on propeller size and strength of motor, you can read about it online. |
