edtherenderman | 10-Mar-20 10:34 | Don,Question: You use red pen to mark how far to sand, right? If so, have you ever had problems with the red bleeding through your paint?

Don C | 10-Mar-20 12:03 | It's a red Sharpie. I definitely bleeds a bit with the dope at the beginning, but I haven't noticed a problem with the paint. It doesn't bleed with the gray automotive filler primer (but dope does soften the gray primer) and the acrylic doesn't seem to bother it. There's probably a better red pen to use. That's just what I have on hand. |
BriandKilby | 10-Mar-20 19:43 | I'm playing catch up here, don. is this an offspring of the dc series? looks like you built it with ease. |
Don C | 11-Mar-20 11:24 | The Basler Corp., in Oshkosh, modifies the DC-3, by adding 5 feet to the fuselage, changing to turbo props, modifying the wing and in general beefing it up. It's the plans from Guillow's and a couple of others I found on line combined. |
