Don C | 24-Jul-20 09:36 | Nice piece of work. Can you imagine trying to cover those curves with tissue or silkspan? |
edtherenderman | 24-Jul-20 09:43 | Not without some serious waist of material as it pulls away when it shrinks, and prolific use of profanity afterwards! Definitely a prime candidate for infill. |
David Duckett | 26-Jul-20 06:57 | Actually, there are two ways to solve the problem mentioned, if you really want to. Sig makes a nitrate dope especially for inside curves. Some modelers cover from stringer to stringer instead of the traditional former to former. Sigs30 is an example. Personally I would infill it. |
edtherenderman | 27-Jul-20 08:05 | Thanks Dave. Definite infill and sheeting/planking exercise! Was going to work on it this weekend, but low 80 degree weather in the PacNW drove me outside, literally! Took my '71 Jaguar Restomod out for the first drive this weekend! |
