Don C | 26-Sep-20 17:28 | I think my zinc chromate is a little off. |
David Duckett | 26-Sep-20 18:59 | Use Sap Green Permanent, yellow, and white. |
heywooood | 26-Sep-20 23:17 | Yep - that looks exactly like what I mixed for my Cloudboy project.. good thing those cockpits are small..and dark |
heywooood | 26-Sep-20 23:19 | ..and for future reference I just jotted DD’s mix recommendations onto the building board..thanks Dave |
David Duckett | 27-Sep-20 08:34 | Zinc Chromate Green, and Yellow, were sprayed on parts as a protective coating and was not paint which is why it has an uneven mottled look. Originally an oil paint, the color has a tendency to fade. |
Don C | 27-Sep-20 11:51 | Thanks David. I looked all over for a spray - except on line. No luck. I want to try finishing the cockpits before covering. I can slip it all in from the bottom. It should be easier than trying to get it through those little openings.
