They are cheap to make, easily fixed, and a ball while waiting for glue to dry on other projects.
I also have a Great Planes PT-40 with a OS.40, 60" wingspan.

| SteveM | 05-Jun-08 00:43 | | I know that many people enjoy the foam planes (or ARF/RTFs for that matter), and I respect that despite my personal preference for wood kits. I just smile to myself when some complains that it took them 10 hours to get a plane ready to fly, or when planes are identified by someone who saw it in a magazine advertisement. Many people just want to fly and and building a kit is not fun to them.
Oh, and the planes here are like $40, and with CC TB18 ESC and motor they are about $85 and the TP 1320 2S LiPo is about $25. The owner of the LHS is selling everything at cost as this year he helped pick the plane and supply all the parts and wants to make sure everyone is happy. |

| SteveM | 05-Jun-08 10:34 | | I whacked the prop pretty bad and couldn't figure out why I had a bad vibration till later when I noticed one blade was missing about 1/4" off the tip. This morning I'll try to get by on a 9x7.5 (or a 9x4.5) till today's mail brings a new 9x6. |
