Heinrich Dorfmann | 18-Sep-12 12:07 | Whow! How did you get the letters on the missiles ...? |
Dale1416 | 18-Sep-12 16:05 | Paul, that is fantastic detail work! Sure would like to actually look over this P-38 when completed. Since I live in northern Illinois, maybe that might be possible? |
Pauli72 | 18-Sep-12 17:13 | @ Heinrich. They are called DRY TRANSFER from an old company called LETRASET. They were popular with model railroaders in the '60s & '70s. Long since out of business. It's dry letters printed (in reverse) on a opaque transfer sheet, and you rub / burnish them on to a surface with a pencil. It's the 1st time I ever tried them. I scored a big lot of them from a hobby shop going out of business. Packages were from 1968, letters kinda dried out & hard to work with though. Oh well...close enough for "government" work :-)..................
@ Dale1416. Yea, me too...it's taking forever.lol. Yea sure we can get together. Just private message me at the Guillow's forum. |
