Another fine little kit. I love these walnut scale planes. Thet don`t take forever to build and they don`t take up alot of space. Same process as my other planes. Cardstock over framework. This time I decided to use some squadron putty for smoothing over. I`ve never really used putty before. Stinks like hell but works great!

I'm on the same wavelink as you about walnut scale models. Have not tried the cardstock yet. Your results look real good. What is squadron putty?

Squadron is the brand of Putty. It`s a paste in a squeeze tube. I buy it at the Hobby shop. I beleive it comes in green, Gray, and White. It sticks to fingers really well too ;)

I just looked in your Hangar Dale. Your Building technique looks exceptional. I`ll be visiting often for reference. Very nice work! Friggin Fantastic and amazing what you have done. :)

Squadron putty is used a lot on plastic models the way filler is used on balsa and is definitely not friendly to human skin. I very much like the look of your models but using cardstock is foreign to me and your photos don't show the actual use of it in construction. Will you please show the actual process in a build? Thanks. And...My brother, rest his soul, told me once he wanted to be called Mr Duckett and I told him I would settle for David.:-)

In January I`m going to build the Dumas Ryan Transport and the Ford Tri-Motor.I will show what I`ve learned about using cardstock in construction then.I ordered 5 models from Dumas a few weeks ago.All lazer cut and ready to get my hands on. Life is good. :)

Looking forward to your lessons on cardstock construction. Dumas offers lots to choose from in walnut scale planes.
