Where are all you V/A guys? I need to see some new pics on here please. The "things" on the top mainplanes are Handley Page slots, they are there to maintain a better airflow over the wing at low airspeeds and high angle of attack. They are locked closed in normal flight and aerobatics. But open (as shown)for landing. They should be closed after the touchdown to avoid them bouncing open and closed on bumpy grass runways. |
