jernst | 14-Nov-07 10:52 | Finally finished up this kit, and have had ittest flying. |
jernst | 14-Nov-07 10:56 | I wanted to mention that I haven't checked in here for awhile, because several 'life' demands have ben pulling me in other directions.
One project I have been working on is pulling together a webpage of my models, and I'm surprised how much time that takes to do well. I'd love to hear your comments and feedback - sign the guestbook if you wish :-) Thanks.

jerry campbell | 14-Nov-07 12:56 | I've looked at most of the models posted and your time, both in building the models and the web site, has been well spent. I love the way you are able to use the paper as camouflage and markings and yet turn out a delicate model that reflects the stick and tissue build. I would love to see start to finish lesson on papering models this way. Beautiful... and thanks for sharing. |
cdwheatley | 14-Nov-07 13:39 | John, I love your models. I too prefer to use just coloured tissue, although I haven't yet progressed to any multi-coloured finishes, and your models are an inspiration to me. I just hope that one day mine will look as good, and hopefully fly as well, as yours do. |
jernst | 14-Nov-07 15:23 | Thanks everyone for the positive feedback.

poppy | 15-Nov-07 17:42 | Another beauty. You have the "stick and tissue" models down to a science. |
moostang51 | 15-Nov-07 18:05 | Must be a real beaut with a little air under its' wings. Great job. |
David Duckett | 17-Nov-07 13:13 | I went over to the Dumas factory here in Tucson yesterday. They have all their kits made and hanging from the ceiling of their office and various parts of kits in construction around the place. I asked to go behind the counter to see the planes cause I wanted to see their Harrier. It wasn't available. The planes there are the ones you see on their website and they are all very well done. I looked really close at a several of them and I would say none of them are built, and more importantly here, covered as well as yours are. More than one of them had visible gaps in the covering. And this was at the factory office! They also had some of their boat kits on display....Superb model boat kits from the middle of the desert. Seems just a bit odd. |
SteveM | 17-Nov-07 13:43 | PVHC has the Dumas Harrier in stock (they have two listed on eBay as well). http://www.pennvalleyhobbycenter.com/rubber/Dumas/503harrier.htm |
