The red stripes on the wing and stabilizer are painted masking tape. |

The struts are made of different sizes of styrene tubes and plugged into another styrene tube already glued in. |

| The Comet kit is from 1953, the Revell plastic kit is from 1987. |

| Oh Yeah; Revell. Shiny, hard silver plastic with swirl patterns and the raised locations of the Nat'l emblems and USAF. Wish I had one now. |

| terrific ! stirring up memories too...I must have built over a hundred of these early USAF jets in plastic kit form when I was a kid. What is the wingspan of this model, Dave? |

| Only 52 days until the days start getting longer! Ray may have a point, but February in Iowa (or Minnesota) is not worth it. The tea is iced without the use of cubes. And we're not a whole lot better. |
