DD, you were right, a real PIA to make wire work as Guillow's suggest. Two hours of planning and a little improv provided great results. Second one will be a breeze. |

If I didn't know better..... |

Gauges are photocopies of the kit decal ink jetted onto matte photo paper. I make duplicates so I can cut them up to put gauges in other areas in the cp. Would usually outline with a bezel but this is a very tiny cockpit. |

Mild weather in NJ today let me get some covering done. |

Sweet Moos....where did you get the guages? |

Yes sir. Very small cockpit, so hard to work with. Would love to find a 1/28 scale Brit to lie prone in the front. |

Nice job Moos, I love the details you add, like the wiring. |

While the pilot seat dries to shape, some gauges, controls and initial wiring harnesses are installed. My fat, twisted carpenter fingers require the use of tweezers and needle nose pliers. |

Thanks gents. As I've come to learn though, the build no one will actually see once covered and painted but is the groundwork for a good build. This is one amazing kit and was definitely the most enjoyable to frame. I've incorporated so much technique as provided by many on this site, from kit opening to this stage. Now I will reference DD covering and painting techniques which should guide me through to completion. If you can get your hand on this Guillow's kit, grab it! |

Shaping/sanding complete. Ready for sealer (will use white glue) then cover probably next weekend with heavy silkspan and dope. Search is ongoing for a good cockpit photo. |

Go Moos Go! she's looking great, The planking is alot of work but its well worth it. It makes for a great foundation to achieve a smooth finish in the end. |
