This was a build I started sometime ago and was planning on building with floats. When all was said and done, she is a little heavy so I added landing gear. She is built out of the box with no modifications, a wonderful kit by Guillows/Howard.

Looking forward to your completed Beaver float plane, and pics of over the water flights.

I have not decided what I am going to go with. I am planning on flying with rubber power so I am not going to go too crazy on detailing.

That looks very familar. Really enjoyed building this kit also. You will need to get 1" sq. solid balsa for the front of floats. Are you going to use the kit color scheme?

Beacuse of the awsome accuracy of laser cutting, the fuselage comes out nice and straight with no fancy jigs.

I am hooked on laser cut kits, cut by build time in 1/2. I still build with old fashion white glue and I have all the structures built in 2 days. I ordered the floats from Guillows and they should be here next week. The wings, stab and rudder are drying on the building board.

Just came back from Alaska and I was inspired to build the new Guillows Beaver kit, actually like the turbo Beaver more but this will do. The wood is excellent quality and I will make this one with the floats.
