Cheers. The tyres are hole cut out of balsa sheet and are then hardened up with some sanding sealer before being notched both horizontally and around the circumference with the back of a stanley knife blade to get the tread imprint. A bit time consuming but after a bit of practice you get a good result. |

Assuming that the restorers in New Zealand took full advantage of the glues and finishes currently available the restored Mosquito should be flying for a long time. Great model! |

Isn't it great to see one in the air again ! This build is modelled on one from the same Squadron 75 RAF Sqdn (RNZAF) although not the same aircraft. |

Cheers Paul. The wheels are actually cut from balsa and then given the appropriate tread with some cuts from the Stanley knife. Takes a bit of practice but after a while you get the hang of it. |
