Beautiful job! How did you fabricate the exhaust manifold?

Nice, what radio system are you using?
Anders, Image # 3644928 Jul 16 19:15

Almost there... this takes time

Been watching your Rumpler build with great interest. Your workmanship and attention to detail is excellent. Glad to see someone take on such a rare and unusual subject.

Humbrol colours. could not find any light blue so the underside is Duck blue. Top side is Middle stone and will get dark green as camoflage patterns
Anders, Image # 3641624 Jul 16 12:08

keeping the plastic parts off as long as possible to access the radio gear
Anders, Image # 3641524 Jul 16 11:58

Cwering gets a little loose when painted

I praise your skill with radio control electronics!
Anders, Image # 3640721 Jul 16 13:38

For Don, this might get a place on the rumpler
Anders, Image # 3640621 Jul 16 13:36

Going to order a bigger diameter propeller, and maybe a black one
Anders, Image # 3640521 Jul 16 13:35

Tail fins now glued in place, and some work on the electronics are done.

Thank you! The wood glue/water mixture dries smooth and no sanding is necessary. The number of coats depends on how much water you mix in the glue, concistency of milk is a nice place to start. I use less water in the mix for attaching the tissue and more for final coating as a thicker mix holds the paper better while drying. If you look at my Storch build you can see how acrylic paint goes on it. And i use two coats of glue/water.

Good job, Anders. I have used only dope on my models so far. I wouldn't mind trying something else that works as well but without the fumes. Does the glue/water mixture leave a smooth surface or must it be lightly sanded? Does it require more that one coat? Does it paint well?
