Thats a great idea James, thanks very much! I'll be looking forward to the section. Also I'm gonna give a preemptive thank you to all the building masters that will be contributing! :) |

Kudos...James...it would be a great addition. I'm sure even us'en apprentices might have tidbits to contribute. |

As the undisputed master of engine building, among other things, yours would be THE reference work. |

I'm going to set up a section on here so we can have a group of pages of helpful tips from the masters. If anyone wants to write one (David, maybe one on canopy's, and just about everything else you do?!), start putting them in a document or email, and we'll get them posted. Should be a great resource. |

Hey there David, Im pretty sure that you've written about it before, but could you tell me what you use to mask your canopies with?
I screwed up one set of canopies on my Flying Pancake trying a method that didnt go so well, so once the new set arrives I was hoping to try your method. Thanks man! |

DD, Tremendous. And I, as I'm sure others, believe that YOU have a more than "a small part" in inspiring and as well as keeping this particular "Art" form thriving. Thank you for sharing, as always. Phil |

No, Ed lived in Mesa, Arizona. Check my build of the Stearman PT 17 for full info. |

Many thanks to all of you. I am deeply humbled by such kind words. I am also deeply appeciative to James for providing such a great site to show our builds. It's my belief that seeing one of these models actually built is the best impetus I can give to seeing that others get involved with this hobby. It is also my very firm belief that these are an art form by themselves, whether display versions like mine or those beautiful creations that actually fly. There can never be too much art. The joy for me is watching what all of you are creating and the good feeling I have in knowing that I have had some small part in that. Thank you all. |

Pardon, would that be Ed Clark from the Los Angeles area? |

I'm glad it all got there ok. There are two props from the Diels kits and one from a West Wings kit. Likewise the white paper is from the Diels and the black tissue is from the West Wings F-117 kit. And...the bundles of 1/16" stringers are from the bunch of goodies I got from Ed Clark's Wife. |

Thanks!! ALL of the wing, fuselage, and tail feathers is covered with heavy grade silkspan. The prop, dive flaps, and dive brakes are not covered. |

The balsa strips and other 'goodies' arrived safely. Thanks a bunch, David. Will save me a lot of time from having to strip wood with a razor blade/knife and straight edge. |
