It's got a GWS IPS motor; planning for 4 channel RC. Sorry that it's filed under the wrong plane - it's a Guillow's 800 series Cessna 172. |

It looks electric, can you give up some power train specs? |

One of my favourite parts of the build - the test fit. |

You may have a problem here. Check the label on the glue stick. I may be wrong but I believe that the glue in the 'school stic' is water soluble. This is so that when the kids get the glue on their clothes mom can wash it out. A moist morning may cause the tissue to peel off. I use the Uhu glue stick with the purple glue in it for tissue and have had no problems with it in the last 4 years. |

I filed it under the wrong plane - it should be under the Guillow's Arrow. Sorry, James. |

I tried a new technique - Japanese light tissue applied dry with a glue stick. The tissue is surprisingly strong, able to handle a lot of stretching and pulling. I was able to cover the stabilizer, which has an airfoil, with a single piece for the top. |

Nicely done. Can't wait to see it in the air. |

Yes - rubber powered. The only action item incorporated is the retractable gear. I'm still painting it - I'll post an action shot soon. |

Roger that. I just found DD's essay on acrylic paint on the Guillow message board:

Light grey primer is always a must, but even that takes multiple coats. And as always the first coat of paint is quite scary even the primer coat. Still a nice bird, you'll see. |

This looks great Harve. Are you going to fly it? |

Thanks for the compliments guys. It's nowhere near the masterpieces you create. |

First coat of acrylic paint applied. I think I should have put a coat of primer first. |
