Not to worry. DD caught that on a Corsair I built as a kid. Said that was the reason it crashed. :) |

It's a disease :-)
One of the first things you learn in Air Force basic training is to spot something out of place. Multiply that by 20 years and........ |

David-I knew you would see that! Yes, I was pretty bummed that I put it on backwards. Btw-I am working on a Guillows B-17 that you inspired me to build! The reason: your description of how to do it. I have been following your pics while integrating some things I have learned. Stay tuned. Input appreciated. |

on the upper wing surface the star is on the port wing (left)
the way I was taught to remember the difference is 'red left port' the three shortest words go together - as do the three longest (green right starboard) it helps keep the nav lights sorted too fyi |

You have made a beautiful model! For future reference, the Star & Bar insignia goes on the bottom of the right wing with the point of the star facing forward:-) |

You’ve got a nice Corsair there - well done! I was always a Grumman fan but thought the Vought Corsair could have been one of Roy’s creations - sort of a brother from another mother.. |

Corsair finished! Ironically May 29, 1940 was the day the first protype of the corsair flew over Bridgeport, CT. Perfect timing! |
