I must admit, I finished a Bearcat about 4 months back and I used the Krylon from Ace Hardware, 3 bucks a can and enough to do about six of these. And easier to clean up. I did use the Future floor wax as a sealer coat on top of the decals and the finish and that seems to make a bit of an improvement. This gets shipped to Wells Maine to hang in my buddy's office. The shipping cost is more expensive than the kit, probably cost about $100 for shipping and insurance. Oh i do sand between coats with an extra-fime soft sanding block, also from Ace hardware. |

My Guillows B-29 when I got that primed, painted and the gloss coat put on it I used about $120.00 worth of those little cans. I also paid $250.00 for this airplane, so that plane cost me $370.00 and 4 months of building. |

Nice build, where do you ship your models too ? FYI, when painting I like to use the little model spay cans that are about $5.00 apiece. I usually do (2) coats of a primer spray coat first, let it dry between coats then take a cloth and wipe it down, knocks off all the burs from the tissue this will make it look shiny. Then I do (2) coats of the finish spray paint, repeat the steps as the primer. Then after the decals and everything else is on the airplane, tape off the clear plastic windows etc.. and do (2) coats of a gloss coat spray finish, when dry wipe it down again and wa la u should have a bueatiful finish. This works for me, just saying. Keep up the good work. |

The prop isn't permanently attached, just a friction fit in order to give the USPS a fair chance to deliver this intact. Just a chance. Chance, Chance-Vought, coincidence? I think not! |

This is so much fun, I always leave this for the very last. Used laminated balsa (soft) and this is the easiest one I've ever done. I usually use birch-balsa laminates. |

Corsair Armament. I just found out that I have no knack for attaching fins after three different plans. Right after I attach these I'll find out that someone sells these ready to go for ten cents. It was a nice Sunday job though, wife doing cross stitch and me cursing at the table together. |

Brian thanks. I had this in the closet for a few years and my buddy talked me into building it. Glad he did, but I have been on this for over three months. It will be nice to do a peanut or walnut scale plane next. I like that Dumas Thunderbolt. |
