I'm sorry to hear that you have ceased production, Dale - it is lucky for us that we can still visit your hangar and be inspired and educated by such a truly talented builder.
Of course if you really miss the actual building part, you can visit my youtube channel and relive the hope and despair of it all through my camera lens in living color. Expletives deleted naturally -

Thanks heywooood for your comment. Means a lot coming from a builder like you. I marvel at the fine detail you put into your models. Your latest float plane is one of the finest examples. It's been a while since I have contributed any build to this site, however I check V.A. almost every day. Had to give up the actual model building a few years ago due to health reasons. I do miss the actual building. but enjoy the work exhibited on this site. |

never say never - coming to this site and poring over the build threads and following the discussions, being inspired to push yourself a bit here and there will always lead to improvement. You're on the right track and you have a good eye from what I've seen. |

This is another fine example of the work done by members of this site. I know I'll never be close to this type of craftsmanship but I would love to build this one eventually. |

I just cant get over the way you got the plastic parts to fit and conform to the tissue covered air frame. You have it all seamed and trimmed perfectly. This has to be one of the finest outcomes ever achieved with this kit. It is immaculate. This is another build thread I review often.. |

So sorry you've had to give up model building. Yours were awesome. Age does have its disadvatages. |

Dale, Sorry to hear that you are no longer building, this build came out nice. I am impressed with the black that was brush painted with Testors enamels. Came out smooth with no brush marks. Do you thin the paint first? What brush do you use? Also the smaller P-38 in one of the pictures, is that a plastic model? Was it brushed painted also or sprayed? |

Appreciate your comment Kevin. Built the P-38 three years ago, but now at age 82, I have had to give up model building for health reasons. I enjoy the posts on VA, and thank you for your contributions during 2017. Your workmanship and attention to detail is amazing |

Your comments are appreciated. In the future I would like to add some nose art, more red trim with black pinstripe, and then probably add on the rocket trees. |

Checked out my hanger today, and the picture of the P-38 has now been added. |

Thank You for the comments. Yes, space is becoming a problem ! Four of the WWII enemy aircraft are going to get crowded off into a corner of the ceiling to make room for the P-38. |

Really well done! Now, do you have enough space to display it? |
