Cardstock models can be astonishing. The most memorable one I saw was done by the late Carlo Godel. He built a Fiddlers Green Morane-Saulnier Bullet, put a tiny Gasparin CO2 engine in it and flew it regularly at the Sepulveda Basin! |

These paper planes are really very difficult, but all you need are a few tools. I used to take one when I traveled overseas for work. Scissors, an X-acto knife and glue. But the instructions were in Polish. |

Very neat job Don - you need gentle hands to do that work I assume. |

Just poking along on these waiting for another B25. ….learning a lot about gluing small tabs I have been useing sharp toothpicks to put glue on most of the tabs joining them sometimes one at a time, after everything is in place |

these models present a new set of challenges
wish I could get it added to my list. I need something to do until I get a new model for Christmas. |

I bought a few of these in the early spring this year and finished one and close to finishing a second. It is a fun new skill and they produce pretty cool looking aircraft! It also helped me become less precious with the model because there is only so much detail you build into them. I need that guardrail sometimes! |

Yes it is…. Interesting …Learned a lot about glueing paper. !!! holding till dry….how much pressure….how much glue on each side…rolling paper evenly….
Sizing matching joints..,this a whole new method of building airplanes to me!, |

...that last line was reference to the Heath Kit set-up.
(sorry for going "on" so long about non-model stuff!) |

...which when tested in our electrical lab. at work, gave only 7 watts per channel!!! |

Wow Ed! I built a Heathkit Hi-Fi setup in 1969. A 12watt amp and two bookshelf speakers. Not true HiFi, but it served us for a few years before changing the set-up to a Quad system in 1983 - we still are running that Quad with a 12" Stadium Bass unit and two Castle floor standing speakers. Still love this system |
