Being your first guillows build you did a superb job on this airplane.
So far I have the B-29 which I just got done, the B-17G which I just posted and then the P38L which I will be posting probably saturday. I want to build the Liberator, this PBY and the DC-3 then I will have all six big airplanes by guillows. Guillows also has a B25 Mitchell which is a fairly large airplane also, just 4 to go lol. These airplanes take so long to build I don't know if I will ever get all 7 done or not, just taking them 1 at a time. |

Went down the West Coast (very wet) and up through the middle - very scenic, Dunedin next time ! |

Mandeville down near Gore? Thats a good ride, you should have dropped in for a coffee on the way. |

Reuben, I travelled over a 1000kms on my bike down to the dark depths of Mandeville to hitch this ride. And yes the landing was interesting and clearly reflected the fact the pilot couldn't see a thing over the nose. |

Congrats, I did the same thing in Surfers Paradise its quite a rush :-) did you get the sideways landing approach so the pilot could line up the landing strip? |

I'm lobbying for a similar birthday gift this coming Autumn. A nearby museum has a nice Waco GXE. |

Geez I wish someone would get me a birthday pressy like that. I'm still trying to persuade my wife to let me buy a ride in one of our Harvards. |

My birthday present. A half hour in a Tiger Moth doing loops and rolls. Great fun ! |

I can always get a P-38 Reuben but the problem is they cost a heap to import due to the sheer size of them. |

Looks good Nigel, if you find a P-38 I know someone who would be very interested :-) |

Still nearly a metre though, a good size for you to weave your detail magic, can't wait to see the build. |

Sorry Garry, a far more modest 38 inch wingspan but it should compliment the Guillows Liberator kit I've got in the bottomless cupboard (read roof-space now - cupboard is full !). |

Is that 50 something inch wingspan I see? If so WOW!!!! |
