One of my most liked aircraft, and certainly the best model if it on here! |

Again, post photos of your work. I don't build with the kind of detail that you describe but there are some very fine modelers on here who do. I was taught to praise in public and criticize in private. If you want to talk privately ask James for my email.:-) |

Thank you and welcome to the VA site. In the song Home on the Range there's this line: "Where never is heard, a discouraging word, and the skies are not cloudy all day". I shy away from making comments, except compliments and banter if I know you, on this public site. My intentions might be honorable but my words might hurt. There are many on this site who do not follow the Guillows forum so it would be better if you post your photos here. The monthly photos on the Guillows site are all just girls unless one becomes Model of the Month, the only featuring Guillows does that I know of. Your model of the Stearman was chosen and rightly so. |

One additional comment I forgot to make regarding to the Wright Flyer I built that is featured on Guillow's website for April, 2015, mine is the one with tubular chain drives using real scale chains, detailed engine, fuel tank, & tying twine on the struts in addition to the rigging. Would appreciate your thoughts. Sincerely, Sky |

Please forgive this late comments by a few years as I'm new to this site. I think you've done a wonderful job on the Wright Flyer. I've built the Flyer earlier this year (2015). It's featured on Guillow's website in April, 2015. Would like a few comments from you. Sincerely, Sky |

David, I just have seen your Wright Flyer via random pix.
Although it was posted in 2008, let me say now " it was an extremely nice look airframe " |

This reminds me... Does anyone have or know how I can get a good set of plans for a Bleriot XI? |

Well your "really looooong way from from museum quality" is still better than most of our best work. I know myself and many others here look to your work as a goal to try and reach. I'm with Poppy, this looks fantastic. Always look forwatd to seeing youur work!! |

Thank you! Y'all realize I'm totally out of my element to NOT paint a model. This is also the first time I've covered dry with such thin silkspan using 50/50 and then misted it and I must say I was totally skeptical but it worked great so I covered the elevators and rudder the same way just for grins. I will NOT be "doing it dry" again but I now know it can be done. |

This will be the last pic and the default image for the hanger. |

Almost as much rigging as a model ship. I love the true raw look, no paint, it makes it that much more realistic.
DD you truly did this kit justice and made it look so easy.
A beautiful work of art!!! |
