The Diels kit can be built as either the F3F or Gulfhawk II. |

David, the Diels Gulfhawk, is that based on the Grumman F3F Flying Barrel? I have a 1/24 scale Cleveland kit, and it could use a cowl as well.

Thank you. I have a Diels Gulfhawk II which has a similar cowl and I think this one might fit. |

This Dumas kit is #201, not the Tiger Moth. |

Hi David. I'm still around. Just haven't built any balsa/tissue models lately. On your request: front former on fuse is 2 3/8". O.D. of plastic cowl at the former is 2 7/16" |

Dale, what is the diameter of the front plastic cowl as it sits on the former? Thanks. |

After 2 coats of clear dope, I brushed on Testor's 1144 Gold enamel for the trim color. Then masked off the gold and spray painted the entire model with 2 coats of Krylon gloss burgundy. |

This is actually Dumas Kit #201...."Mr. Mulligan". I remember seeing a beautiful model on Virtual Aerodrome done in the burgundy and gold paint scheme. I liked it so much, I decided this "Mr. Mulligan" plane kit with it's radial engine, would be a good model for that color combination. After 2 coats of clear dope, I brushed on Testor's 1144 Gold enamel for the trim color. Then I masked off the gold and spray painted the entire model with 2 coats of Krylon gloss burgundy. I had some gold colored pin-striping that I had used on my Dodge Dakota truck years ago, so I used this to trim up "Mr. Mulligan". The engine cowl was a painstaking job, but it sets off the model. |

This is actually a Dumas Kit called "Mr Mulligan". It's a walnut scale. The kit number is Dumas #201. I couldn't find this kit on the site, which is why it is listed under this particular Dumas Kit and not the correct one. |
