Maybe if the canopy's were bubble instead. Right now they look like leftovers from some WW2 fighters. |

No worry for forming curves. Panels all look flat, including perspex. I thought the A-10 was ugly, but it's a beauty compared to this. |

Ugly for sure, but most of it is in the nose. The steep angle squared off design reminds me of the Henschel 129 and the A-10 Warthog, so I guess it's the standard design for ground attack aircraft...good forward vision for the pilot. On another parallel note, does anyone know if there is a balsa kit of the Illuyshin Il-2 Stormovik? (Another "Ugly" beast) |

Monument at the Alley of Heroes (Gromov Flight Research Institute).
This aircraft was built as a "private venture" by Ilyushin as a possible Ground Attack aircraft.
It flew for the first time on 25th September 1982 and eventually completed 367 flights during testing.
Although a very good machine, it was not selected for production and apart from a brief appearance at
MAKS 92, it remained stored at the Ilyushin OKB facility for many years. |

And there's a bunch of them, too. There have been several families out there this summer, little chicks scurrying after the parents like crazy! It's a quail thing, I guess. |

I was browsing and found this. It's a Gambel's quail. |

If you think it is ugly you should see the woman that lives in it! |

Maybe the paint was a special offer at Home Depot's ... You have to admit, however, that the plane blends well into the building's painting .... :-) |
