Yep, it was a fun build. I enjoyed improvising some of the details on this kit. I noticed you are currently building a North American Trainer. I just finished building a similar looking plane...It's the Dumas Fairchild PT19 Kit #224. It's peanut sized. I'll have the pictures posted shortly. |

I may have to order this kit. I built the Comet Version, but that is also a different Corsair version as well. This would be a fun build. |

Seems a shame not to give it a tiny flight. Even if it's a bit heavy it should manage a powered glide into some nice tall grass. |

Finished F4U Corsair with a 17 1/2" wingspan, rubber powered, but I don't plan on flying it. |

Painting completed; ready for the peel and stick decals. Since Dumas kits are lacking in scale details, I added engine outline, 4 blade prop, rockets, cockpit instruments, etc. |

Additional stringers added; papering and assembly completed. |

Just about ready to be papered. I plan on painting this one blue with a light blue bottom. Here it is with the propeller and rubber motor installed. I haven't glued anything yet. |

The Dumas kits are very lightweight flying models. So I added a few extra stringers and ribs. I took two of the 6" stock kit propellers, cut them down, crossed lapped to a hub made from the end of a ball point pen cap. I just need to paint it black and I'll have a scale looking prop for the Dumas F4U Corsair. |
