I use 1 piece of tussue,& stick it down with dope. Start in the center and sort of work your way out to the edge of the nose block and tuck it around the edge. |

Beautiful job! What is your secret for covering the very front of the nose/cowl/plug? I can not see any seams, do you do it in one piece? |

Greetings to both of you and thank you for your responses!
Will take your advice on the Baby Commerical after I complete a Curtiss P-40 Warhawk for the yahoo group Guillows "G" Challenge. Wow, just stepped back in and three birds lined up to build!
Thank you again and hope to talk to both of you in the future......Dave |

Hi DavelN. The Cabinaire builds pretty straight forward. I would do the nose in 1/32" balsa , not the card stock as provided. My kit had really bad die cuting on the wing ribs, so I did them from sheet balsa. Did`nt like the wheel paints much , looks neat but its extra weight. It is a nice little flyer. Another kit you might like is the Baby Commerical. It is fun to build flys supper great! You can check it out at www.easybuiltmodels.com. Matter of fact the black & yellow one on there web site is mine. Have fun be talking to you. |

Nope, That was a practice one I made for the Spirit of St. Louis. When the R1830s get here from the U.K.I will post a pic. of them . Going to try to cast molds of the cylinders & nose case for future models. |

I was in Texas working on a falcon 20, one time back in the 80s. The plane is a Sig Cabinaire. Sig has a Monocoupe I want to do sometime. The DC 3 is next. Ozark had a couple of different paint schemes in the 50s & 60s. Cant decide which one to do . |

I left the wheel pants off to save a little weight. |
