The line is not as obtrusive in person as it is in the photos. |

Two fabulous looking models there... I wonder if some thin fishing line would be less obtrusive for hanging them? |

Historically they usually did get the jump on them, the AVG shot down a lot of Nates which caught fire and blew up rather easily. Sad to see what is happening in Burma today. |

Nice job Jerry, These two go together perfectly. The P-40 looks like he has the jump on the Nate. |

The Nate was airbrushed with Tamiya acrylics. The white stripes on the fuselage and the blue stripes on the tail fin were masked and airbrushed, the red bird like figures were handpainted. |

The oil cooler mounted in the cowling behind the prop is made of painted bass wood. The pitot tube on the wing is bent wire with a piece of copper attached. The gunsight is a dowel with masking tape wrappings. |

Nicely done!! Wheel pants look very nice. |

The Nate is finally finished and the little details have been added. The wheels, which are plastic from the parts box, and pants turned out well. The exhaust is plastic tubing squeezed to shape with pliers and painted metallic gray. |

This looks grand. You are a master in building the unusual, or at least of planes not modelled often. |

Looking really good Jerry. It will go nicely with your P-40. |

I replaced the the wooden wheels with some plastic wheels from the spares box, which had to be sanded to fit. |
jerry campbell, Image # 8283 | 09 May 08 15:48 |
A few extra stringers were added for strength and make papering a little easier. |

The doping and sanding completed the major components are trial fitted. |
