This kit made into a nice model. Great work! BTW, Tamiya or Model Master acrylic aluminum works well for me using airbrush. Brushes OK but not as neat.

With a little work the kit could have easily been turned a big tailed 190D. I hope the manufacturer comes out with more subjects like the Fw 190D and th Reggiane which I intend to build.

Finished! The addition of the final details: the radio aerial, the drop tank and rack, the DF loop, the small rear stick antenna and the wing aerial.

I do love an airbrush. I've been using it off and on for years and I will be the first to admit hat I've barely learned to use it. For painting WW 2 German aircraft it is essential. I want to do a P-51 Mustang, Urban Drew's "Detroit Miss", that I've got the decals for, but the silver scares me.

You've gotta love an airbrush. Mind you, this is coming from someone who still does his camo with dabbing stenciling brushes to produce soft edges. Coloring look just great.

I think she's one heck of a sharp looking bird Jerry, you should be proud! I'd sure be running for cover if I saw it on my tail!

Focke-Wulf Fw 190D-9 flown by Oberleutnant Hans Dortenmann of 14./JG26 at Varrelbusch in March 1945.

To me one of the most satifying things about presenting a finished model are the accurate markings. I made a lot of mistakes, but even so I think this is so far one of the most enjoyable kits I've finished. The construction methods gave me fits at the beginning, but it worked out.

The small air just above the main intake, was a task to carve and sand but it turned out pretty well.Unfortunately I was so involved with carving and and making the details that I neglected to trial fit the canopy until after painting. It did not fit very

Decals have been added as well as a few details such as guns, pitot tub, burblesnauze, exhuast.

I looked at these photos on my wife's computer and you are right, the greens are green and don't look to bad, at least the color police will not get me.

Bluebottle Squadron does not have a website that I know of, but listings and discriptions can be found at Shorty's Basement and Sam's Models.

you may need a new monitor, they look pretty green here

Her colors look nice and green on my screen...I think it's turning out great so far Jerry! Does Bluebottle Squadron have an official website?

The topside colors apear to be gray in the photos. The are in fact shades of green. Next step is Future preparing the surface for decals.
jerry campbell, Image # 1076604 Feb 09 13:24

The colors show up as gray, however the topside colos are in fact green.

I especially like the mottled camouflage usd by the Luftwaffe. It hides a lot of papering errors, and I sure make 'em.

Whow! I have never heard of the german term "Burbelschnauze". I googled for it and found one hit ... A "Burbel" seems to be something like a bavarian curlicue or - spiral.
