A very realistic looking Hurricane - great paint job.

As I typically like to do, I was a little heavy on the weathering, using chalk and colored pencils.

The model is painted with Tamiya acrylics.

I am hoping this model will fly as well as my Dumas Boomerang.

I re-arranged the kit identification letters, to represent a aircraft from 615 Sqn, 1940.
John Cooper, Image # 2310002 Jul 11 09:29

The model is mostly finished and ready to fly at 198g.

I pre-painted and then masked out the areas for the identification letters and fuselage roundel. I used the kit decal letters as a mask.

Thanks for the info!

Thanks, you might have used Skyloft or Koverall. Polyspan is similar but much lighter. Polyspan, like the other coverings can be painted and sealed with dope. I, however, used thinned carpenter's glue to seal it and will paint it with acrylics.

Excellent covering work! There was a covering I used back in the late '70's that ironed on like Monokote but was paintable like silkspan and I forgot the brand name of it; is this similar?

John, this looks fantastic ! - great job.
John Cooper, Image # 2300022 Jun 11 10:55

The model is covered with Polyspan (one of my favorite materials).

I fit an E-Flite Park 250 motor into the cowling.
John Cooper, Image # 2299822 Jun 11 10:51

I added some balsa sheeting to make the model a little stronger
John Cooper, Image # 2299722 Jun 11 10:49

I am putting 3 channel control in the model.
