Seems you've got everything under control Bill, I shall now quietly go sit in the corner and shut up. Hope you post pic's as you set everything up. I know bugger all bout U-Control but I wouldn't mind having a crack at building one or even get the young fella to build one. |

Old brown laminated folding tables. All the same height, and very heavy. I push as many as I need together and go for it. Then I have to work fast, get em folded back up, and put the cars back in the garage... |

do you use old doors for your work bench because your projects are so big? |

The tail feathers are sheeted in 1/32, slit and offset on the rudder, split and hinged for the elevator... Fuse will be planked in 1/8, if I ever get all the stringers on these convoluted piles of p**p! |

I got rid of the leading and trailing edges that were 3/32 by 3/16 and made em 1/8 by 1/4... The tissue will be Light Silkspan with butyrate dope then paint, so they will turn out almost bullet proof... |

A Little? Ha Ha! First note that all the diagonals you see on the fuse in this photo are added to the structure. There are NO diagonals or gussetts on this plan. As for the wings? I used no kit wood except for the formers. The plan called for a top spar and bottom spar. (single) Top on plan was 1/16 by 3/16, lower was 1/16th... Finished wings sport 2 tops and 2 bottoms all four in 1/8th square. And for those spars I chose nice stiff balsa. You know that hard stuff that you can't hardly stick a pin thru? Both of these "Harvards" (we don't call em that in Texas...) are going to fly U-Control so weight is not an issue at all. |

Brings back memories Bill. Looking Great. A word of caution if I may. I have found the wings quite prone to warping with my Easy Built kits so a little strengthening up might be handy. |
