Holy crap this thing has a lot of fuselage frames. |

Closer view of my extremely technical jig consisting of a manicure tool i stole from my wife, 2 magnets for weight, and a piece of fiberboard with a line on it. |

Glue drying on dihedral. |

The Dumas stringers are pretty soft stuff. I keep a box of Guillow's leftovers for this very purpose. |

Any tips for angling the wings? Seems like the most complicated part for someone who has never done it before. |

I ended up gluing the outer spar to R3 with the center spar out of the way. Seems like that was the intention anyway, since it wasn't clear in the instructions. |

Getting ready to add dihedral, with a bit more of fuselage frame 3 completed in the foreground. |

The two frames for one of the fuselages, and the outer wing sections before gluing to center section. Note the broken section on the top of the fuselage on the bottom. Don't ever tell your wife that balsa wood is strong if she's never handled balsa wood before. |

it definitely seemed to be when I glued in this rib. I found the reason it broke in the first place, which was that the front edge (on the left side in photo) was a little too tight a fit. So the whole rib was compressing when trying to fit it in position. However, the repair held tight and didn't feel unstable, so I just sanded off a bit of the edge and glued that sucker in there. |

The glue is stronger than the wood...not to worry. |

ah I see, stringer=1/16 balsa strip :) Unfortunately the space betweeen the two slots isn't wide enough to even fit that in. I think I just might go with the repaired piece and not worry about it. |

The rib R3's bottom spar slot is double wide, to hold the spar coming from the left tip of the wing and the spar coming from the center section side by side. The instructions say to glue down all ribs at this point, but I can't imagine that would be a good idea if it means also gluing the middle spar to R3. Should I just glue in the left spar and save the center spar for after angling the wing? |

A bit confused about how to go about attaching the rib at the dihedral area (R3). Should it be glued to the outside spar but not the middle spar? |

By that do you mean adding some sort of thin scrap between the slots from left to right? |

Well, technically my second... but the first one - a Guillows FW-190 - never made it past the fuselage formers after I got frustrated and smashed it into itty bitty pieces :) |

That yellow glue is pretty strong stuff. If you're not sure, you could also add a stringer lengthwise for added strength. |

I broke this rib between the upper left and bottom slots while test fitting. I glued it back together with elmer's yellow... is it ok to use it or should I make a replacement with this as the template? |
