Mr. Parker, it has been a couple of years (decades) since I flew control line airplanes. They were mainly the cox, ready to fly plastic models. So, I have forgotten pretty much everything I knew. Been flying rc for a long time and I know I need to re-adjust my thinking or my results will be a nasty series of figure 9's. First of all I don't want to launch into the wind with control lines do I? Second I am going to start with the dacron lines so what kind of knot do I use to tie off the lines? I think I will use wire lead outs from the plane and a cable on the handle, butthe main lines will be the dacron. metal connectors for the ends. I don't hink a simple "granny" knot will suffice. Any help you or anyone else can provide will be most appreciated. This weekend in Sellersburg Indiana is the control line clubs yearly competition so I hope to go there and gather some tips as well. My goal is to control line a model the size of one of your behemoths someday!! A feller can dream can't he? In the meantime I will start with my little scout. |

I had to revise my last comment as my German is not good, so I will say in English, this is very nice! |

Thank you! It turned out decent considering at the beginning I almost made fire wood outta it. |

18 11/16 makes it very close to 1/24th scale. There are a lot of decals for different markings that can be used, also Squadron has some after market canopies for the 109E-1 and 109E-3/4. |

No distractions, and I build 3 at a time... I'm getting ready to show you a "Super 47" (modified Guillow's 1000 series) and a pair of converted R/C to U-Control Sterling Mini-Fledgelings from a superb plan, so really I'm doing 4 at a time this round... |

Bill, If we had you building planes during WW2 the war production would have gone easy. You knock these puppies out so quickly. |
