It's not really a Comet kit, but it is an exact copy from GAR. Comes with a canopy and a spinner unlike the Comet, but the parts sheets contain all the old Comet parts. We will see how the tissue works.

Nice looking frames on an old Comet model. |

20 inches, kind of a stubby critter. Your build inspired me. Not sure if I will fly this, but leaving that option open. |

Nice looking build! What's the wingspan? |

Completed frames. I don't plan on having landing gear, so i left that out. The gear would fit between two ribs on each wing, a pretty solid design. I added a few stringers to the wings to help strengthen them. This GAR kit comes with Esaki Tissue of two colors, not sure if this is the best way to go yet. Might try some domestic I have. |

The wings are built with two small pieces that align the interior ribs for the gull wing effect. |

The box and former frame came out square and straight. Not really sure how that happened. |

F1 wing plate aligns the wing and provides a solid base to glue the wing interior rib. Really a nice design. |

To beef up the build, I used 3/32 for the frame and cross members. The material supplied with this kit comes up a little short so I would have been splicing, so the 3/32 was long enough to avoid that. The frame is longer than the Easy Built with a slot for the elevator rather than gluing elevator halves together to
the side of the fuselage. |

This is a Golden Age Reproduction Kit, a remake of the Comet HE 112 kit. It is significantly different in the wing alignment and box frame design. Been a while for building anything so, I am just taking my time and having some fun.
