Elevator Anj wanted me to correct his statement by saying it was a Neiuport 24 that crashed. Article is as follows: PILOT KILLED IN BIPLANE AT RHINEBECK AIR SHOW A veteran pilot and flight instructor dies after crashing a WWI replica biplane during a Hudson Valley air show. Vincent Nasta, of Wading River, was flying a single-engine biplane in a simulated dogfight Sunday afternoon with a German plane when it crashed over 1,000 feet from the Aerodrome. The plane landed in a wooded area and caught fire. Nasta, 47, was the sole occupant. Nasta was an art teacher at Riverhead High School and an illustrator of children's books who flew planes recreationally.

I last worked on my Newport back in January, my day job building elevators has really interfered with building airplanes, I will retire in 10 months 2 weeks & 3 days, but who's counting

I too am very interested to know what you have in mind for the paint job? We are in mourning here in upstate NY as a pilot demonstrating dogfighting died when his Newport 11 broke in half, at The Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome, earlier this month

Moos, the Nieuport is coming along very nice. What kind of paint scheme are you thinking about?

Even Hoompdah Doompdah's men couldn't put him back together again. Trail fit before final sanding.

Very nice indeed Moostang! Did the step come with the kit or did you have to scratchbuild? Either way a job very well done.

No nitrate dope in house yet, so 50/50 white glue used to adhere tissue. Small footstep installed as per researched photos.

FOF. Fear of flashbacks. No, actually will finally complete this one next before another is started. Question? How hard is 30+ year old glue to sand? May even attempt an engine build. Decals are still mint. Actually this kit has two sheeets of decals.

Just call me a ho (hoarder). I still have board games such as Stratego and Risk (mint condition)from my early teens. Working stereos such as a Phase Linear 400 component system with sales slip from '76. A Tamiya Bruiser monster truck from the 80's , now 3/4's rebuilt worth a small fortune. Forgedaboutit. Can't seem to part with them.
