The helldiver, climbing, at a good rate, in a tight turn. |

OK John, I finally got around to adding this aircraft to the database. I've moved all your images to the correct one now. Sorry for the delay! |

Yes, looks like a nice long flight to me. |

Nice video John. I think the plane needs the rudder kick to the right.CG is Okay.
When the left turn is wider there will be no slight stall to be noticed but it will fly much higher. Post more. |

Here is a video of the model's fifth flight. I am still in the process of trimming and kept it to 500 turns. The turn is too tight and there is a slight stall but things look promising. Dumas SBC-3 Helldiver |

Very nice. Too nice to deserve belly landings. But I understand your reason. |

Dumas Curtiss SBC-3 Helldiver. The finished weight is 107.8g. This is a little heavy for a 30" model, but there is a lot of wing area. |

Wonderful |

I build the SBC-3 with the gear up because this is going to be an outdoor flyer and also because it is pretty complicated to make a good representation of gear down. The wheel is a balsa disc sanded into a donut shape. |

The insignia are printed on white Japanese tissue with a laser printer |

The crew is now seated. I air brushed the model with acrylic paint thinned with ethylene glycol (wiper fluid). |
