Beautiful!Just like the ones in the movie The battle over Britain. To me one of the most world war 2 airplane action movie yet!The Hawker Hurricane did serve a major role in alone with the spitz defending off the germans air blitz. |

The harshness may be more my fault than the flash since I increase contrast in editing. Of course I don't know what the picts look like on your screen. How do the new ones look? All have been edited for contrast. |

This is not the best Westwings Wing Leader kit but it is in 1/24th scale which allows me to use after market decals. |

Just a bit of cockpit work adds a great deal to the finished kit. |

After the final coat of Dullcoat the masking was removed from the canopy. |

Dullcoat provides a good surface to use a Sharpie on. |

This particular Hurricane was flown by Sqdn Ldr Witold Urbanowicz of 303 Sdn in Sept 1940 and carries the Polish Sqdn emblem as well at a swastica and the Sqdn's kill tally and a picture of the Fuhrer. |

Looking super, Jerry. I'm sure it'd look even better with less harsh (flash) light in the photos. :) |

Spraying a coat of Testors Dullcoat provides a uniform flat finish. |

After the paint dried for 24 hours a coat of Future was sprayed overall to provide a gloss surface for the decals. The Polish 303 Squadron decals in 1/24th scale Techmod sheet 24003A were applied. |

The under surfaces are Revel No.59 Sky. Humbrol does not seem to have a Sky in their line any longer. |

The first coat of paint, Humbrol No. 29 Earth and No.30 Dark Green airbrushed on. |

Build looks super can't wait to see it finished! I've just ordered a kit and intend to build over the winter. Just one difference though I want to try and make it fly properly. Just learnt to fly with the Parkzone P-51D, as a consequence (many crashes) I've got 2 wrecked 51's I can rip the guts out and put into the HH. What do you think? Do you think its possible to make ailerons and elevators. Also what does your model weigh? My Grandad was in 607 Sqn so I'm desperate to get a Hurri flying!! You look busy so no stress on answers and I must say experienced guys like you are an inspiration! Cheers BarryH |

Great masking, Jerry. How do you get those edges so crisp? I see multiple layers on some of it. The exhausts and tail wheel look great too. |

The masked canopy is ready to be glued in place. Then the paint shop takes over. |
