Haha John. That is a large except. Brian - its called a Malcolm Hood. It was invented by... Malcolm. The later spitfire Mks ( this is a griffon powered Mk XIV) had these. Late model Mk XIVs actually had bubble canopies and a cutdown rear deck. |

All the filling and planking may seem excessive, but the balsa in the kit was so light there was no where to hold onto. The upside is that I had to add no weight to get it to balance and the plane is strong, but still light. |
