After a year off from modeling I decided to have a go at this one. After getting the kit for Christmas I started collecting pics prior to beginning construction. This Scout is located here at the Military Aviation Museum in Virginia Beach, VA. I visited the museum right after Christmas and took lots of detailed photos of this plane. I’ll post photos of the build, start to finish, until someone tells me to stop. |

lots of interesting metal fabrication at the nose, cowl, forward fuselage of these UPF's - also the lower wing roots and the landing gear geometry can pose challenges...nothing you can't overcome BPG - I've seen your work! |

My project for this winter is going to be a scratch-built WACO UPF-7 modeled after the one my daughter and I flew in a few years ago. I couldn't find a kit but did find some plans online. I couldn't find an engine either but was able to use the Guillows PT-17 engine as a starting point. I then had a reprographics company scale the plans to the engine. So here we go. |

Didn't have room for the Tiger Moth so it's on display at the local HobbyTown. |

I may have him. Still have the box and leftovers in it. Let me check and I'll get back to you. |

Guillows is closed until at least May 5. It would be helpful to know the width of the pilot so I can set up the cockpit trim to fit once I have him. |
