This should explain it and why I chose it as an example. It is a very quiet work. |

Saw the video of "Unanswered Question" and turned it up.. I enjoyed the conductor's hand movements as he gracefully spread them out, but really couldn't hear the music as it deserved to be heard. My deafness is more profound. That's why I can't enjoy TV shows depicting musical talents or concerts. Just one of "those things" in life. |

Thank you David! I have just been perusing the 50 years of the Dragon Lady -a prezzie from James brother Rich. Have you ever modeled the U2? |

Jenny and I also like West Side Story - super music. I saw the film and the stage production in London as a 16 year old in the late fifties. (God that makes me very ancient!) |

Bob, I have not but I saw many of his programs explaining classical music to young people and I agree with your assessment. I saw the movie West Side Story in London when it was a new release and am still amazed by its excellence. |

...love the PT-17 - I had half an hour in one a few weeks ago - with James friend Andrew - good to get my hands on the controls again! A few years since I last flew a biplane! |

David, have you seen the Harvard - Leonard Bernstein lectures on The Unanswered Question? L.B. is a "show off" but is also a brilliant music man. This site has some wide ranging subjects lately!!!! |

The Unanswered Question was written in 1908 by the American composer Charles Ives. |

True. Gotta agree with you on that, Mr. DD. But what if a tree falls and no one is around....? |
David Duckett, Comment for image # 36229 | 08 Jun 16 01:14 |
I posted the photo as a color reference only. What the gauges are is not my concern or interest. Sometimes you can't see the forest for the trees. |

Judging from the control rods from the throttle/mixture quadrant going only forward and no duplicates going back, I'd say this is the rear cockpit. Beautiful picture and very informative. The altimeter seems to suggest that the field elevation is slightly above 700 feet. Have no idea what that yellow colored box sitting on top of the seat is for. |

Made a lot of mistakes on this model. As mentioned previously, it was my first project after almost 30 years. I'll share some of my mistakes and what I've learned in future posts. -Sky |
