This is the only fully exposed engine balsa model in Poppy's hanger. |

The F4U arrived safely yesterday escorted by an F6F. Thanks. Like the F4B. Noticed that it's the flight leader of the 2nd flight, but can't remember which carrier was white. My F3F-1 is a black tail - the Wasp I think. Kind of seems a shame that the F4U only gets to be blue. Merry Christmas! |

Poppy, your shipment of kits arrived this afternoon. Very prompt delivery by UPS. Thank you so much for the kits. They arrived in good condition. Is the Curtiss F4B-4 pictured in this post your model? I don't think that my build of the kit from you will be as nice, but I will give it a try.

By contrast, F4B-4 and P-12E pilots claimed you could do a 180 just by sticking your arm out of the cockpit. |

I sat in a Corsair at the air musuem at Bradley Int., it is huge. More interesting is that the controls are all manual. Turning this plane on a dime will impress you with the fact that the guys who flew it must have been in great shape. |
