Phantom Pharewell in Wittmund, Germany. After more than 40 years of service, the F-4 Phantom II of the German Luftwaffe was finally retired this weekend. Jagdgeschwader 71 "Richthofen" was the last squadron to fly the "Luftverteidungsdiesel" (air defence diesel). It will now be replaced by the Eurofighter. Photo is one of my plastics, a model of really bad quality, in the old Norm-72 colors. There are a lot of (copyright protected) photos on airliners.net and a lot of nice video clips on youtube; they had a fly-in on Saturday in Wittmund. |

No, its just for static display. I have two more figures, which I have never completed - painting takes too long. I have this one now for about five years - the decals already come off and the MG is broken off. |

For Briandkilby: My Academy's Jagdpanther, 1/25. Sorry for posting a tank - they usually don't fly very well. |

This is not the Guillows kit but scratch built from an old plan by W.C. Hannan from the late 60s. |
