I have been known to pick up plastic bottles to check if their bottoms could be adapted for engine cowls. For my drone model I used PVC shapes from Home Depot to make the radar housing.

That's well done, but I don't think I'll try it. Nice seat belts too. |

Thanks for the kind words. The picture of the seat appears to be cut at an angle but that is my crappy camera work and I should have cleaned the dust off. The reason for posting was the result of watching Heywood's Guillow P-47 project - Part 18b : black boxes youtube video. I remembered I was trying to figure out what to do and came up with the togo container. I am working very slowly because of the eyes and the arthritis. |

As a sucker for cockpit detail, I love to see stuff like this. Nicely done! |

Both of these pics show clever adaptations of otherwise useful materials.
I have made my oxygen hose from wound solder already and posted images of that and the wood dowel regulator to the channel but ‘like minds’ as they say. Your adaptation of a section of the cup lid was also imaginative. It fits the bill. I dont know about you, but I’m guilty of buying more than one product just for the packaging it came in - because it would solve a modeling challenge..lol. Thank you for taking the time to post these solutions. Always helpful to learn tips n tricks. |

Another one for Heywood. I found that a togo cup from a restaurant can be cut down and it fit perfectly as a shroud for the cockpit as it gave just a little lip and covered the instrument panel. |

Lost most of my picturres for the builds but uploading these two for Heywood. This was my attempt at making the oxygen tube. It is .015" solder wrapped around a wire but not sure of the gauge of the wire but the overall diameter is .063". I will never do this again. |
