Almost gelcoat. polyester in bondo it takes alot of sanding.But what don't This being a biger plane have week in putting the filler on and sanding.Fingers are sore. |

no its a p47 Looks almost like 51 going with the 78th fighter group scheme and yes it will have a checkered cowl.Love those checkers

After I cover the plane with 1/32 balsa I give it 2or 3 coats of automotive bondo. Sand smooth and then prime 3or 4 coats. WET sanding between coats. 1500 grit paper.Check out my new pics in my hanger.FW190 First coat of bondo.Scratch coat. |

I use alot of the time all automotive products.The gray primer is out of a spray can that you can get from a parts store or even walmart. |
