I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

Droid, actually, that might be a bit of a concern actually, I bet it will be very difficult to see up there in the sky. Good luck with the maiden flight, and do let us know how it goes!

Tremendous. I believe sunglasses are required while flying this bird.

Thanks for the feedback guys, there is something about the P51, and although challenging in chrome monocote it is a very nice finish for this particular plane. If I were to do it again I would likely sheet the fuse with 1/32 balsa to make the job of covering far easier. Yes David :-) just as I finished ironing on the insignia I checked to see which side it -should- have been on... Oops. The AUW is 300 gr. with 800mAh 2C - the rest of the details are covered in other photos. I hope it is a flyer poppy !

It's beautiful! I don't want to sound like a grumpy old man but...the stars and bars national insignia goes on the left wing.

added a few panel lines on tail, wing and nose, ready to fly now, balanced perfectly w.o. additional weight - the spinner is a Carl Goldberg "snap-on" 1 3/4" and the wheeles areDu-Bro 1 1/2" Mini Lite - next update will be after first flight

hard to read, but I named it "Fortuna" chrome monocote is not easy to photograph

AUW = All Up Weight, essentially the weight of the plane when it is ready to fly. Mine is 9.3 oz. with a 3S 350mAh LiPO, though I think it would be fine on a 2S pack.

Hi SteveM, your P51 build was helpful for me to consider prior to building mine, thanks for sharing. The landing gear failure you had was what inspired my redesign. What does AUW stand for? I assume weight... mine is 300 grams or 10.5 oz., seems mine is 1 oz. more than yours at 9.5.

stats on plane: 8x4 prop, A2034S Hacker, 800mAh 2S Evolite LiPo, 300 grams ready to fly - and no I have not flown it yet, I will enjoy it a few more days in it's current state

prior to covering - had to cover in small steps and cut new decals from monocote
