James, thank you, I added the model to my hangar as instructed. Bill, I dont know if I'd call it premium tissue, looks about the same as any other tissue, but I'm no expert. I'll probably use medium weight silkspan to cover it. |

Yeah this will be interesting. You'll have to post a few pics. |

Apparently they make a USS Los Angeles as well... The website says that it comes with premium tissue for covering. Is it? |

OK done, Luke. If you add this aircraft to your hangar, I can transfer this image to it. What an interesting entry this is, very much looking forwards to seeing it. |

So Santa, aka mom, sent this interesting build for Christmas...an LZ-129 Hindenburg model by a company called Megatech. Laser cut parts, plywood bulkheads and balsa stringers. Measures 8" in diameter and 48" long. Guess I need to find a reference book on the Hindenburg! More pics to come. James, whenever you get the chance would you be kind enough to make a category for this please? Thank you. |

Thanks Ace! She's all balanced out and set up for rubber-powered flight, but Im not about to send it through the air after the work I put into her.
However the Cabinaire out front I dont mind throwing around my apartment from time to time. ;-) |

I think that the unpainted border between the colours looks good and I would have inserted a white pinstripe between the red and silver - it would have allowed the colours to blend with the white....Just a thought.. |

If you're going to carve the prop, the spinner would be easy |

Thanks for all the positive comments gents! I will post some new pics of her with a new nose when I get it looking alright. I'm looking forward to starting my next project which will either be a Sterling Real Sporty or a scratch built V-173 Flying Pancake. Super excited to build both so I cant decide which to do first! |
